Amrita Rao is an Indian actress and a former model. Known primarily for her work in Hindi films, she has also appeared in Telugu films. Rao made her screen debut in Ab Ke Baras (2002), which earned her a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut in 2003. She subsequently appeared in romantic films including Ishq Vishk (2003), Main Hoon Na (2004), and Vivah (2006) eventually being "Bollywood's quintessential girl-next-door".She has starred in more than 20 films and is the recipient of one IIFA Award and two Stardust Awards.
